A blog about Learning, about Education, about transformation, about change, about youth voice, about democratic human centered education. I am trying to ask the question "Why we educate" and what my answer means to me as a teacher and how my role shapes society and the whole.
We get it, you are better than us! You can spell, you can put words and commas in the right place! That in and of itself does not make you a god or even a good teacher. I am tired of people dismissing someone’s thoughts and ideas because of their “diction” or their “grammar”.
It is bullying. It is plain rude, and it honestly it makes you look bad.
I stop listening to you the minute you become the grammar police!
Teaching is not correcting grammar, or spelling…or making judgements on people’s worth.
We are here to guide, to inspire, to listen, to learn, to challenge.

(If I miss placed a comma or a preposition… feel free to keep it to yourself!)
